Puma Hills Colorado Retreat

Bordering the beautiful and untouched National Forest land, Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills is the quintessential destination for your camping trip. No need to bring your tent, as we provide the shelter – you just need to bring your sleeping gear (sleeping pad optional), cooking gear (including matches), food, flashlight/lantern (no city lights up here at 9,000 feet) water, and warm clothing (rain gear if mother nature shows precipitation in your forecast).

Tree Camping: Spend the night nestled amongst the aspen trees in our unique tree tents. Hanging above the ground, the tree tents provide a unique perspective of the serene Colorado forest.

All Tentsile tree tents provide shelter with no ecological footprint or environmental impact.

Description: Tree tents come equipped with a drop-down ladder for easy access, a fully-enclosed insect mesh roof (with opening doors) and removable rain-fly sheets so you can enjoy the stars on a clear night.

The trillium tree tent model is an amazing triple hammock. Reinforced with car seat belt and secured by heavy-duty ratchets and webbing straps, Trillium is incredibly safe and provides unrivaled stability, comfort, and of course, unbeatable views of the great outdoors. The hammock can be used to add sleeping space for fellow campers or simply to expand the space of the tree tent set up for extra gear, shoes, dogs or wet stuff. The tree tent has a max load of 880 lbs.

FACILITY AMENITIES

Your resort stay includes guided archery on our 3D range, marked hiking trails, use of sporting equipment, board games and lawn games such as corn-hole, horseshoes, badminton, wiffleball, giant chess, volleyball, giant Jenga, Kadima, lawn bowling, and Kan Jam. We have gas barbeque grills and dining spaces throughout the property. In the evening, make sure to visit our communal fire pits. The perfect place to enjoy s’mores, music, and make new friends.

We offer fly fishing gear, belly boats, and kayaks for an additional charge. Our neighbors down the street have horses so just contact us if you would like to schedule a ride.

Puma Hills is in the very heart of Colorado. The property is engulfed by thousands of acres of National Forest and offers an abundance of wildlife viewing. It is typical to see elk, moose, deer, big-horn sheep, eagles, rabbits and much more on any given day.

We are conveniently located near Colorado’s top cities and attractions such as Colorado Springs, Denver, Breckenridge, Vail, Salida, Great Sand Dunes Park, Lost Creek Wilderness (just across the street) and much more.

If it is adventure you are seeking, through our partners we offer white water rafting, ATVing, hot air ballooning, fishing on gold medal waters, boating, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and dog sledding – to name a few.

Parking and transport to your campsite is complimentary as well as our nightly trash pick-up service. Puma Hills is a high wildlife area. Please note that for your safety, no food or drinks are allowed in our luxury rentals. Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills has designated areas for smoking.

We are in the wilderness with an altitude of 9,000 feet and the views are breathtaking. Please note that here, the weather changes rapidly.

It is recommended to bring the following items to make your stay more enjoyable:

-Flashlight
